Selecting
an officiant, minister or Justice of the Peace
In
Arizona you may be married by a member of the clergy (including
a minister, priest, bishop, rabbi, and imam), a judge, a justice
of the peace, a clerk of the court, or a clerk of a city or town.
Ministers must record the marriage on the marriage license and return
it to the clerk of the Superior Court within 20 days after the marriage
for it to be valid.
There is no waiting period, blood test or residency requirement
to receive a wedding license. Licenses are valid for one year and
can only be used within the State of Arizona.
For more information, check with the clerk of the court in your
county, below.
